Náboj Physics 2026: registration for the international team physics tournament in Uzhgorod is open!
On November 13, 2026, Uzhgorod University will host the Náboj Physics international team physics tournament for the second time. Team registration has already started and will continue until November 9, 2026!
Náboj Physics is an exciting team tournament for high school students, which takes place simultaneously in eight European countries. Participants have only 120 minutes to solve as many as possible of 40 non-standard physical problems. Here, not only knowledge of formulas wins, but also ingenuity, critical thinking, speed and coordinated teamwork.
We are changing the rules of the game!
Unlike traditional Physics Olympiads, in Náboj Physics you are allowed to use textbooks, your own notes, reference books and calculators! It is forbidden to use the means of remote communication and collections of tasks of previous tournaments. After all, the main thing is not just to know formulas, but to be able to apply knowledge to solve non-standard problems.
Each team at the start receives eight tasks. For each correctly solved and passed problem, the participants get a new one. The team that solves the largest number of tasks in the allotted time wins.
Student teams of 4-5 participants from one educational institution are invited to participate:
- students of grades 10-11 of general secondary education institutions;
- recipients of complete general secondary education of relevant courses of professional (vocational and technical) education institutions;
- students of relevant courses of institutions of professional preliminary higher education (ZFPO).
In 2026, the tournament in Ukraine will be held only in the Senior age category.
Main registration rules:
- No more than two teams can be registered from one educational institution.
- Registration is carried out by teachers or legal representatives of students, who also accompany the teams to the venue of the tournament.
- The composition of the team is allowed to be changed before registration is completed.
- After filling out the online form, you need to confirm the registration via e-mail.
- On the day of the tournament, participants must have a student card or a certificate from the place of study.
Registration ends on November 9, 2026 at 17:00!
On November 7, 2025, Uzhhorod National University hosted the Náboj Physics international tournament in Ukraine for the first time. 18 teams from educational institutions of Transcarpathia took part in the competition. The winner was the team of the Uzhhorod Scientific Lyceum, and the best participants got the opportunity to represent Ukraine at the Fyziklání 2026 international tournament in Prague.
The first tournament demonstrated that this competition format can be an effective tool for developing schoolchildren's interest in physics and informal STEM education.
